Question of the Week: October 18th

What does Jesus mean when He said we are the "salt of the earth"?

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor?
                                                                                                                      Matthew 5:13

"Please sir," the woman said, "give me some of that water! Then I'll never be thirsty again."
           John 4:15

  1. Salt is like a season, when we season others with the love of Christ we help them understand that his love for us is ever lasted ,so we use our season to give to others and return they can give their seasons to others that are in need

  2. Referring to a flavor with no seasonings no taste or value? Much like believers not influencing others in GOD's word.Hence we're to much like others in the world ;like seasonnings with no flavor.

  3. Great comments guys. I just attended an Emmaus weekend that I was the leader and our theme was "Let My Lifesong Sing." Never thought about it until now but letting our lifesong sing is like seasoning the un-saved. We go out into the world and we add God's favor to it by letting Jesus sing out of us. Very cool.
